Yes, there are days when we are so weighed down by grief that we think we cannot possibly rebound. 

But we have found that words of HOPE can sometimes come from unexpected places...

On one particularly bad day, a HOMELESS man stopped me on the street. He said that he recognized me and that he knew that I was the mom of a "missing boy with the head injury." I told him a mother's pain at the loss of her child is indescribable. He looked at me and said "fathers too" can relate to that pain, then proceeded to inform me that he had a daughter and did not know how he would cope if she went missing. 

He encouraged me to hold onto HOPE and to NEVER GIVE UP...... 

Sean is out there somewhere and we will search for him till the end of our days.

For those not on Sean's FB page, below is the flier for the latest young man to go missing from San Francisco:

 

Elliott Qian,  age 18,  student from NYU (on a GAP year), missing from downtown San Francisco, CA. 

Last seen Nov. 25th at Theo's Cheesesteaks, 121 Spear Street / near The Embarcadero Waterfront.

"Hi friends of Elliott, a message from the (private) investigator: leads are being followed to find Elliott. Please take a picture of anyone you even think is possibly Elliott and text it to 925-890-0695. Do not hesitate or worry about being wrong, just call or text. "

SEARCH FOR SEAN SIDI - NOVEMEMBER 15, 2015

THIS WEEK:   Prayers to those in Paris & France.   Most of you know that Paris (France) is near and dear to Sean's heart due to family & friend connections, his French School education, and much time spent there...I think that the picture of Sean's bedroom wall - (WHICH Sean put up & kept on his bedroom wall since middle school) speaks loudly.  If Sean is here amongst us, I am sure that he is praying for ALL those in Paris..& for his family and friends and their loved ones...

 

LAST WEEK we started our "Socks for Sean" winter drive.    We are collecting thick warm WOOL socks (wool is much warmer than cotton)  to donate to the homeless (along with other donated hygiene items & Sean's FLIER).   If you would like to donate a PAIR of thick wool socks, please mail or drop your donation to:

October 18, 2015 - Search for Sean SIDI Continues

It has been 2 Years, 4 Months, 26 Days, since I last saw and hugged Sean. 

There has been NO "dimming" of anguish or pain, NOR will there be, UNTIL we "know"....

Every so often, the veneer of cheer and normalcy that we both "put on'" each day - cracks.....It took me off guard when Claude, who is particularly good at masking his pain with smiles - on our drive to work - said out of the blue......."It's a miracle we haven't yet had a nervous breakdown..."

I couldn't have stated it up more succinctly myself..

Thanks for listening, sharing, caring, posting, & keeping an eye out for Sean.   We could not have made it this far without the support and love so many of you have extended to our family.

August 22, 2015 Update re: Oceanside, CA Search for SEAN SIDI

The surveillance shots we viewed (at Vista Sprinter Station) based on the caller's time, place etc. - were NOT Sean. We emailed the shots to the person who CALLED IN the sighting and he does not believe the screen shots (we sent 2 different persons) was the "Sean" that he saw..however, we did not see any other 'match'. The code enforcement officer did not recall speaking to someone meeting our Sean's description. Therefore, and while the search continues in Oceanside, CA - the sighting remains UNCONFIRMED. 

We don't know how our "story" will end. We do know that we have to pursue every viable lead, because the ONE time that we DON'T follow a lead - is the 1 time that it WILL be SEAN. 

PHOTOS remain the best way to confirm a sighting. ANY PHOTO at ANY ANGLE (send 415.713.5913). BEST WAYS TO SPOT SEAN:

1. BIG HAIR - WAVY & BIG when LONG. SEE PHOTO of Sean's dad and Sean as baby. Compare to photo with SHORT hair (PHOTO). 

2. DIMPLES - Law enforcement commented how obvious these were even when Sean is NOT smiling.

3. BRACES - If they are still on - they are silver.

4. BI-LINGUAL IN FRENCH - If you speak to Sean in French, particularly if you are a native speaker, he will almost ALWAYS respond in French...

5. OTHER: slim build, right eye droops slightly, bump on right forehead from accident. He may NOT know his name.

6. ANYWHERE - CASES have proven - missing persons, particularly those with head injuries, can end up VERY FAR from home, even with no money.

UPDATE of "Sean" (SIDI) sighting in Oceanside, San Diego

Thank you ALL for your shares, efforts and prayers. 

Oceanside police have issued a BOLO (Be On Lookout) for Sean. 

While this is helpful, we still need Sean's FLIERS POSTED in the Oceanside area - particularly at homeless shelter locations. In past sightings, SEAN’S FLIER was the CRUCIAL LINK to informing area residents & our receiving a photo confirmation.

We will MAIL fliers to anyone (PM or email lynnkching@yahoo.com), OR will pre-pay any printing order at YOUR location (PM your name and name, ph# and address of PRINTER). THE flier can also be downloaded from Sean’s page.

CLEAN OUT YOUR CUPBOARDS AND HELP KEEP THE SEARCH FOR SEAN SIDI ALIVE

We continue to distribute SEAN’S FLIER & SUPPLIES to the HOMELESS. ALL packets contain a toothbrush, toothpaste & whatever contributions are on hand, generally socks & travel sized toiletries. 

 

This effort is ON-GOING.
