Help find Sean Sidi

We need your help to find our son

SEARCH FOR SEAN SIDI CONTINUES!!

No new updates on our search for Sean (Sidi).  We are cognizant that many missing persons are not found for years, and many more never found..   We do not know how many will be following the search for Sean as time passes.  However, we do know that our love for Sean will carry us on for as long as it takes.

On Friday, I received a call from a bounty hunter in Eugene, Oregon.  He called to tell me that he saw Sean's flier up at "Eugene Mission", a place that serves the homeless (thanks to Sean’s AUNT LIANNE who has been mailing Sean's fliers to homeless shelters across the country, non-stop).

Our intent is to use San Francisco and the Bay Area as a home base (for vigils, media, (posting of fliers) etc.) while distributing Sean’s fliers across the country.    The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is continuing to send Sean’s AD across the United States.  Finding Our Children Under Stress (FOCUS/"3-Children" Organization www.threechildrenfocus.org) is distributing a binder containing fliers of Missing CHILDREN (including Sean Sidi’s) to post offices across California.  We will post FOCUS/”3-Children” pictures later this week.

YOU can help by continuing to SHARE Sean’s FB posts and by POSTING a flier or two ANY PLACE IN THE United States!!!   WE WOULD LOVE A PHOTO OF YOU, SEAN’S FLIER AND THE LOCATION WHERE Sean’s FLIER HAS BEEN POSTED!!!!

We will MAIL Sean's fliers anywhere in the United States. To receive a packet of Sean's fliers please email lynnkching@yahoo.com with your mailing address.

A (former) MISSING PERSON''S STORY OF HOPE FOR SEAN SIDI'S FRIENDS & FAMILY

Since Sean vanished a year ago, Claude, Danielle and I have battled crippling grief, despair and depression. At times, HOPE seemed elusive amidst the pain of Sean’s disappearance.

An anonymous caller recently reminded us that there is always HOPE. This is his STORY.

The caller said that 15 years ago he suffered a traumatic brain injury. One day – during the early stages of his recovery, he was suddenly beset by a jumble of thoughts, voices in his head, and a loss of memory. He felt compelled to leave. For 2 years, he wandered homeless (& MISSING) and lived off the kindness of those around him. After a 2 year period had passed, the caller slowly regained some of his memory – and was able to contact his family.

We can only HOPE that WE will be lucky enough to be reunited with SEAN one day soon.

To everyone, including Sean’s FRIENDS returning home from college FOR THE SUMMER, please keep your eyes open for Sean among the HOMELESS. Sean may not remember his name, his former life or YOU.

However, we hope that YOU will recognize SEAN (& call us)!!

In Hope,

The Sidi Family

PS, Thank you to all who volunteered to distribute Sean’s flier shirts. The mailing/deliveries will go out on Thursday and Friday.

PSS.  Please email lynnkching@yahoo.com if you would like a flier shirt for yourself and/or anyone else willing to wear the shirt.

**** It would be GREAT if some of you could make light-weight, LARGE SIGNS for the cars (& media) to read as we walk. The signs can say anything you want: Still searching for Sean Sidi…We miss you Sean!!... are only a few suggestions.

PARKING at START LOCATION: Park in neighborhood (its not too bad) or at paid parking lots around school. There is a large parking structure at Hayes and Gough St., a few blocks from French school.

RETURN TRIP: We will try to have 1 or 2 cars at the end location to transport people back to 150 Oak St. However, given the size of the group & the fact that people may want to leave at different times, you may opt to catch the bus, especially if leaving early. The #71 bus on Haight Street*** goes back to the START location. Catch the #71 bus on Stanyan or Haight Street (going towards downtown). Get off at the corner of Page & Market, which is 1 block from the START location of 150 Oak Street. THE #21 Bus on Hayes Street (head downtown) ends 2-3 blocks from START location. Fare is $2.00.

If you are in a group of several cars, please consider keeping 1 car near the END location (park at Children’s playground lot, nearby or outside GG park along Lincoln Ave.) as we will have a fairly large group. Paid parking at Stanyan/Waller.

BART: Take BART to Powell St or Civic Center. Exit BART area, and take MUNI (located in SAME BUILDING AS BART) to Van Ness Street. Exit station at Van Ness and Market. Walk 1 block to the French School: 150 Oak Street.

See you all on SATURDAY!!!
