LETTER TO SAN FRANCISCO POLICE CHIEF GREG SUHR FROM SEAN SIDI FAMILY

On April 7th, I MAILED a PRIORITY letter to San Francisco Police Chief GREG SUHR.

My letter informed SFPD POLICE CHIEF GREG SUHR of Sean's upcoming 2 year missing EVENT on May 16th and our intent to share YOUR MEMORIES of Sean.

I INVITED POLICE CHIEF GREG SUHR to ATTEND (or send a chosen representative) as a SYMBOL of SFPD's commitment to Sean, OTHER MISSING PERSONS FROM SAN FRANCISCO & in acknowledgement of National Missing Children's Day (5/25).

I WONDER if Police Chief Greg Suhr will think this cause worthy of his attention? NOTE: SF combines SVU/Missing Persons in one department. ADMIRABLY, Police Chief GREG Suhr has attended events for the prevention of domestic violence (i.e. SVU) - So WHY not also SUPPORT the cause of MISSING PERSONS from San Francisco?!

IF I do not receive a reply from POLICE CHIEF Greg Suhr next week, I will follow up with Police Greg Suhr with a HAND DELIVERED letter. Please check back.

SAVE the DATE: May 16, 2015 (details TBD) - Remembering Sean SIDI

On May 21st (2015), Sean will have been missing for 2 years. It's not easy to speak of Sean, the passing of time, and how much we miss him. It has been incredibly hard to do this in public....but we have - 4 times in the past 2 years... because we had to spread the word.....

Claude and I discussed having an event on SAT May 16th (if Sean is still missing), perhaps our LAST.....The EVENT will honor SEAN, and your MEMORIES of him...Sean's friends, teachers, parents, staff of FAIS-IHS, VILLA,. WE hope you will attend & SPEAK of your memories of Sean.

We are hoping Danielle's friends will be there to support HER.

"...Sean [Sidi], my brother, best friend and idol.."

It is hard to describe the utter & unrelenting exhaustion & drain of living amidst the uncertainty....of thinking the worst 24/7....If you can, please say a prayer for SEAN - that he is not suffering..that he will be returned to us safe, one day....and that Danielle will see her beloved brother AGAIN...

Sean SIDI Update March 15, 2015 & Meeting with Captain SANTOS -SFPD

It has been hard to face the reality of a pro-longed search and daunting odds of finding Sean, let alone finding him alive.... The first 48 -72 hrs are the most crucial.... Recently, I had opportunity to discuss this with Captain Santos of SFPD.

Captain Santos is the 4th Captain at SFPD’s SVU/Missing Persons Dept (“SVU”) since Sean vanished 21 months ago. I found Captain Santos to be pleasant, intelligent, and a good listener.

He was silent as I described the first crucial days, particularly the “ping” of Sean’s phone. He could not explain why Det. M. told us to search Baker Beach (NW quadrant of city), when the ping coordinates CLEARLY indicated the ping at the SW quadrant of the city… (i.e., S-SW of Stanyan/Fulton cell tower)…or why it took another week to confirm Golden Gate Park as the correct location...

We exchanged information, and I thought it was the first productive meeting I’ve had with LE over the past 21 months. I don’t know if Cap. Santos is a parent, but I do recall him saying, ‘You seek resolution.’ YES, we hope for a miracle, but if not, then for answers…resolution.

Thank you Captain Santos (& Lt. Dudoroff – also at meeting) for your compassion & humanity.

Traumatic Brain Injury and Sean SIDI

March is Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Awareness Month.

We live each day with immense and unrelenting guilt that we did not keep Sean safe after his traumatic brain injury....That perhaps, if we knew more, did more - we could have prevented the tragedy of 'losing' him...

TBI can happen to any of us - anytime: slip and fall, car accident, sports accident...    If you know of someone who has suffered a concussion or any type of trauma to the head, please read the following article.  Your support may make a huge difference in their life.   PRESS ON LINK TO ARTICLE:
