Update re Search for Sean SIDI - July 4, 2016

This was posted on FB FindSeansidi last week:

Some days I can't stand posting on Sean's page. It just reminds me how long we've been in hell - how long Sean' has been lost without us, and how long we've been without him - But I have no choice, because there is a chance that Sean is alive. SFPD recently issued another nationwide BOLO.

4 tips received in last 4 months - thanks to those sharing and posting (♥ ANN A. Tina, Luana, & Leona (HI) & ALL): 2 tips discounted by photos; 1 from Colorado of a young man recently arrived from CA (no picture); and an interesting set of tips from Venice Beach area - So Cal - being monitored - will share soon.

On the flip side, CA Department of Justice ("DOJ") requested Sean's x-rays & medical records from his head injury - 2,000+ pages documenting a craniotomy and a cranioplasty (look it up) - The idea is - the x-rays/records will help identify Sean's body / remains - something you can never fully appreciate unless your child is missing. [Thanks to Sgt. Chris Long of SFPD for ensuring the info also gets to NamUs and NCIC - the federal databases.]

Picture below was taken in 2012, Sean was 18 yrs and Danielle was 14yrs. And we were happy.

See www.facebook.com/findseansidi or www.seansidi.com for more information about Sean SIDI, who vanished from San Francisco, CA (age 19) shortly after sustaining a traumatic brain injury. Sean may be homeless, lost without memory FAR from San Francisco.

PLEASE Watch Investigative Discovery (ID) "Disappeared" on Monday April 25, 2016 - SEARCH FOR SEAN SIDI

College student Bryce Laspisa  (age 19 years)  went missing almost 3 years ago in August 2012 - while driving from college in Northern California to his parents' home in Southern California.

As you might imagine, having a missing child is horrific. "It's the worst thing anyone can experience," Bryce's mom - Karen Laspisa [told] the camera. "It's worse than death."

Grieving and brought together by the loss of our sons, Karen and I have helped each other through some very tough days.....

On MONDAY, 4/25, 7 pm ET - NBC Investigative Discovery (ID) "Disappeared" series - will air a segment about Bryce's disappearance.  Here is the trailer: http://www.hometownstation.com/santa-clarita-latest-news/bryce-laspisa-to-be-featured-on-investigation-discoverys-disappeared-169296

Update: San Francisco Police Issues BOLO for SEAN SIDI - January 16, 2016

San Francisco Police has issued another nationwide BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for Sean.

People often ask how we cope.  Truthfully, it's been a very long 2.5+ years - missing Sean so much, but barely being able to look at his picture, or talk about him - for all the pain memory brings.

We know with 100% certainty that Sean did not vanish into thin air on May 21, 2013, from Golden Gate Park (SF-CA).  Our search for Sean will continue for as long as it takes to get answers.

If you would like to help in the search for Sean, please SHARE Sean's flier with a shelter or food kitchen - anywhere in the U.S.  We will provide fliers to anyone requesting them: 415.713.5913 or lynnkching@yahoo.com Truly, EVERY FLIER COUNTS.

Thanksgiving 2015 - Search for SEAN SIDI

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones.

It was our 3rd Thanksgiving without Sean. We had a small group (15) of family and close friends at our home on Thanksgiving Day. While not with us in body, Sean was VERY 'PRESENT' in our minds and hearts, as many friends shared their fondest memories of Sean. Wrapped in the love of those near and dear, we somehow made it through a very emotional & difficult day.

Leads are still being called in, thanks to many of you sharing and POSTING. A RECENT TIP (LAST WEEK) was called in (from Golden Gate Park, San Francisco) with a video & picture. Unfortunately it was not Sean. However, I am grateful to the young man who called it in. He told me that he keeps Sean's flier with him. We will continue to keep you updated.

With all our Love & Thanks,

Lynn, Claude & Danielle

Pictures:   Thank you ALL for the sock donations.   I distribute a few each week to those living on the streets (along with the hygiene donations).  However, we have tentatively planned a bigger distribution early December 2015.  If you would like to donate a pair of thick warm socks for the homeless, pls mail to:  "Socks for Sean", c/o Dr. Claude Sidi, 450 Sutter Street, #1819, San Francisco, CA 94108.

August 22, 2015 Update re: Oceanside, CA Search for SEAN SIDI

The surveillance shots we viewed (at Vista Sprinter Station) based on the caller's time, place etc. - were NOT Sean. We emailed the shots to the person who CALLED IN the sighting and he does not believe the screen shots (we sent 2 different persons) was the "Sean" that he saw..however, we did not see any other 'match'. The code enforcement officer did not recall speaking to someone meeting our Sean's description. Therefore, and while the search continues in Oceanside, CA - the sighting remains UNCONFIRMED.

We don't know how our "story" will end. We do know that we have to pursue every viable lead, because the ONE time that we DON'T follow a lead - is the 1 time that it WILL be SEAN.

PHOTOS remain the best way to confirm a sighting. ANY PHOTO at ANY ANGLE (send 415.713.5913). BEST WAYS TO SPOT SEAN:

1. BIG HAIR - WAVY & BIG when LONG. SEE PHOTO of Sean's dad and Sean as baby. Compare to photo with SHORT hair (PHOTO).

2. DIMPLES - Law enforcement commented how obvious these were even when Sean is NOT smiling.

3. BRACES - If they are still on - they are silver.

4. BI-LINGUAL IN FRENCH - If you speak to Sean in French, particularly if you are a native speaker, he will almost ALWAYS respond in French...

5. OTHER: slim build, right eye droops slightly, bump on right forehead from accident. He may NOT know his name.

6. ANYWHERE - CASES have proven - missing persons, particularly those with head injuries, can end up VERY FAR from home, even with no money.

Thank you ALL for your help, prayers and support.

FROM SEAN SIDI FAMILY - BEWARE of SCAM: $2,750 “FINE” for POSTING A MISSING PERSON FLIER

Yesterday, I had lunch with someone who talked about a friend’s FEAR of posting her missing child's FLIER - after paying a huge "FINE" for the "CRIME" of posting her son's missing person flier in San Francisco.

I was abruptly reminded of our own experience.

Eight days after Sean went missing, WE RECEIVED A SIMILAR 'FINE' - demanding $2,750 for posting Sean's fliers.   Page 1 of the 3 page letter is attached, with our address redacted.

The letter (with a SF City Hall address & payee address at Dept of Public Works) was received while we were REELING & in total SHOCK from the events of May 21, 2013, the day Sean vanished…. I'm sure the timing was purposeful.

HOWEVER, we did NOT pay this ridiculous "FINE". Instead, we turned the letter over to the POLICE who CONFIRMED the "FINE" was NOT legitimate!!!!!!!!!

To the family above – DO WHAT YOU MUST– POST your son’s flier.

TO ALL, BEWARE OF SCAMS preying upon vulnerable families with missing loved ones!   If you know of such a family, please pass this information along to them.

See www.seansidi.com or www.facebook.com/findseansidi for more information on Sean SIDIi missing from San Francisco CA May 21, 2013 shortly after sustaining a traumatic brain injury. If you are willing to post a flier or two anywhere in the U.S., pls email lynnkching@yahoo.com for fliers.
