Help find Sean Sidi

We need your help to find our son

SOCKS FOR SEAN SIDI - IS ON !!!

Another year ending with no sign that Sean is alive, but no body identified as his. We go to work, we live our lives, we go on & YET we DO NOT.   We can never truly move forward without resolution.   We ache to hold Sean & dream of seeing him alive.  However, if Sean is not alive, we want to know. "Not knowing" can drive one to the depths of depression & beyond.....

How do we survive with any semblance of grace & dignity? Perhaps it rests with acknowledging the needs & suffering of others & helping in whatever way possible.

TO THAT END, we are proceeding (it was on hold)  with 'SOCKS for SEAN". The intent is to distribute a few WARM, NEW SOCKS to those in need. This will NOT cure the ills of the world, nor will it find Sean, but its something... IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE in "Socks for SEAN":

1. Please DISTRIBUTE 1 or 2 PAIRS of WARM SOCKS TO homeless NEAR YOU & include Sean's flier. THIS WILL HELP SPREAD THE WORD about SEAN & HELP someone in need. Some, like Tina A. in Marin share Sean's fliers while feeding the homeless. Danielle and I generally distribute Sean's flier with a $1 bill. THIS is the same idea, but with SOCKS.

IF YOU ARE ABLE, SEND A PICTURE, OR LET US KNOW WHERE YOU DISTRIBUTED YOUR SOCK(S).

2. IF YOU PREFER THAT WE DISTRIBUTE THE SOCKS, Send or drop off your sock contribution to:

Claude SIDI, 450 Sutter St, Suite 1819, San Francisco. CA 94108

**We will distribute the socks January & February 2015.

Sean Sidi Family Notes - Thanksgiving 2014

We thought of Sean and all of you last night during our Thanksgiving dinner. How - despite the anguish & heartache of the last 18 months -we have been so lucky to have "met" all of you. Thank you all for your support & generosity in helping... us keep the search for precious Sean alive, by sharing, praying, POSTING and hoping.

BELOW: Picture of Sean and childhood friend Nobuo. Sean's dad and Nobuo's dad were roommates during their bachelor days. Sean and Nobuo have been as close as "brothers" since they were born (minus the sibling rivalry) - inseparable & always there for each other. We had Thanksgiving dinner with Nobuo's parents and brother last night. It was so good to remember the many good times, to laugh (& cry) and to speak words of hope that we may one day - see Sean again.

Wishing you all cherished moments with those you love.
Lynn, Claude and Danielle

SEAN SIDI TIP & 18 MONTH MISSING

NEW SEAN SIDI TIP & 18 MONTH MARK TODAY....

THANK YOU JEFFREY K. who sent in a Sean sighting after seeing a FLIER one of YOU posted. The sighting was of someone with a bump on the right forehead (as described on Sean's flier) in a sleeping bag near the UC Berkeley art museum on Bancroft Way in Berkeley, CA. The person sending in the tip did NOT get a good look at possible "SEAN", but did see the bump on the right forehead, please keep an eye open for possible "Sean".

TODAY MARKS 18 months since Sean vanished. Describing the exhaustion and sorrow of living each day not knowing whether Sean is alive is hard to convey.

It is better described by one family who has lived "not knowing" & WHO found their father, Charles Dowd, deceased, after searching for 8 days. Upon sharing a post from SEAN’s FB page, Charles Dowd’s Family wrote,

*********

“Quietly reflecting on the painful days that Dad was missing. The grief and sadness but also overwhelming GRATITUDE when he was found (deceased)....the limbo of "missing" is VERY, VERY HARD........" See https://www.facebook.com/MissingPersonCharlieDowd.

****************
THANK YOU Charles Dowd Family for sharing Sean's posts and Thank YOU ALL for supporting our search for SEAN these past 18 months, with prayers, liking/sharing, monetary donations, calling in sightings, helping us SEARCH, & MOST OF ALL your PRICELESS GIFT of POSTING SEAN'S FLIERS - all over the United States.

Update of Sean SIDI sighting in Portland, Oregon November 11, 2014

Thoughts re: Missing Sean SIDI

This was posted to FB Sunday night:

Nothing I can think to say or share seems right tonight.

I was remembering 19 years together as a very happy family, and how all that changed so abruptly in a day. My memories encompass Sean, our gentle, smiling boy, but most are of Sean and Danielle together...their mischievous laughter & non-stop games...how our family seems so incomplete without Sean. I am not quite sure how we will manage to get through this.

Thank you to so many who help us keep the search for Sean alive..To Mahsa who posted Sean's fliers at Cal Train & the GIANTS game this weekend; to Jeff who distributed Sean's fliers on CAL TRAIN; to the caller who sent a photo of possible "Sean" this weekend; to JENNY & OPIE for covering the FEDERAL buildings, to Susan H for providing us with Sean's fliers at lower than cost, to SO VERY MANY of YOU, posting & sharing... Thank you.
