UPDATE of "Sean" (SIDI) sighting in Oceanside, San Diego

Thank you ALL for your shares, efforts and prayers. 

Oceanside police have issued a BOLO (Be On Lookout) for Sean. 

While this is helpful, we still need Sean's FLIERS POSTED in the Oceanside area - particularly at homeless shelter locations. In past sightings, SEAN’S FLIER was the CRUCIAL LINK to informing area residents & our receiving a photo confirmation.

We will MAIL fliers to anyone (PM or email lynnkching@yahoo.com), OR will pre-pay any printing order at YOUR location (PM your name and name, ph# and address of PRINTER). THE flier can also be downloaded from Sean’s page.

SEAN SIDI SIGHTING IN OCEANSIDE, SAN DIEGO TONIGHT

Current sighting called in at 6:22 pm of "Sean" on Mission Street at Horn St., in the city of Oceanside in San Diego County. "Sean" was walking EAST on Mission Street (at Horn). 

"SEAN" was wearing burgundy colored jeans, carrying what appeared to be 3 bed rolls or mats strapped to a back pack & wearing a HAT (caller could not recall the COLOR of the hat). 

The person who called in the sighting was in a car & "Sean" was gone before she could turn around. Although she did not see braces on "Sean's" teeth, the caller was struck by the facial resemblance to Sean's pictures (she described "SEAN" as having a "sweet face"), and SIMILARITY of height, weight & build. 

Please keep an eye out for "SEAN". If you are in the area, please consider POSTING a few fliers (I will mail them to you if you PM or email lynnkching@yahoo.com).

2 years+ later, Sean is still missing... 

We are doing our best, but still no Sean....Say a prayer for Sean, for the California Missing 5...all missing from San Francisco...Please help us keep Sean's case alive by posting one of his fliers - anywhere - 

More pictures of our precious Sean...Always smiling, always so good natured and funny. We miss him so very much.... The third picture is of Sean (on left) and friend Nico who lives in Tahiti.  The 4th is of our car with Sean's flier - apparently the only way to keep a flier up in San Francisco....

Sean Sidi Family Notes - Thanksgiving 2014

We thought of Sean and all of you last night during our Thanksgiving dinner. How - despite the anguish & heartache of the last 18 months -we have been so lucky to have "met" all of you. Thank you all for your support & generosity in helping... us keep the search for precious Sean alive, by sharing, praying, POSTING and hoping.

BELOW: Picture of Sean and childhood friend Nobuo. Sean's dad and Nobuo's dad were roommates during their bachelor days. Sean and Nobuo have been as close as "brothers" since they were born (minus the sibling rivalry) - inseparable & always there for each other. We had Thanksgiving dinner with Nobuo's parents and brother last night. It was so good to remember the many good times, to laugh (& cry) and to speak words of hope that we may one day - see Sean again.

Wishing you all cherished moments with those you love.

SEAN SIDI TIP & 18 MONTH MISSING

NEW SEAN SIDI TIP & 18 MONTH MARK TODAY....

THANK YOU JEFFREY K. who sent in a Sean sighting after seeing a FLIER one of YOU posted. The sighting was of someone with a bump on the right forehead (as described on Sean's flier) in a sleeping bag near the UC Berkeley art museum on Bancroft Way in Berkeley, CA. The person sending in the tip did NOT get a good look at possible "SEAN", but did see the bump on the right forehead, please keep an eye open for possible "Sean".

TODAY MARKS 18 months since Sean vanished. Describing the exhaustion and sorrow of living each day not knowing whether Sean is alive is hard to convey.

It is better described by one family who has lived "not knowing" & WHO found their father, Charles Dowd, deceased, after searching for 8 days. Upon sharing a post from SEAN’s FB page, Charles Dowd’s Family wrote,

SOCKS FOR SEAN SIDI

Dear Friends,

While Sean has not been located, traveling street youth have confirmed that many traveling the circuit are aware of our SEARCH for Sean.   Some are definitely keeping their eyes open for him.

To keep awareness of the search for Sean ALIVE, and to HELP those facing tough winter months on the street, we will be collecting WARM, NEW SOCKS for DISTRIBUTION to the homeless!!! 

WHEN:   With your HELP, WE WILL distribute the socks  (along with Sean’s fliers) on SUNDAY AFTERNOON, December 14, 2014 at Golden Gate Park and other locations TBA.

SOCKS, socks, SOCKS:   IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP IN THIS EFFORT, please consider bringing 1 or several pairs of NEW WARM SOCKS  (MEN SIZE 8-12 or WOMEN 6-12) TO OUR ‘SOCKS FOR SEAN’ DRIVE ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14TH .  A wool blend would be warmest but ANY sock donation would be  GREAT.
