Help find Sean Sidi

We need your help to find our son

A SECOND MIRACLE IS POSSIBLE !!!! HELP NEEDED - PLEASE KEEP SHARING

As some of you know, our son, Sean (age 19) survived a horrendous accident, several months before he went missing without a trace from San Francisco, CA on May 21, 2013. In this accident, Sean completely shattered his skull, suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, and fractured many bones throughout his face and body.   Sean was in a coma for a week, and it was unknown whether he would live.   Thanks to the extraordinary skill of the neurosurgeons at SF General, the resilience of youth, AND LUCK - Sean survived – WITH the potential for a meaningful and normal life.

Sean’s survival WAS a MIRACLE.

While Sean was making good progress at the time he went missing on May 21, 2013, he was still in the very early stages of recovery.   Doctors have warned that due to his medical condition, Sean is at SIGNIFICANT RISK of death as a missing person, if we do not find him “soon”.    We do not know whether “soon” has come and gone.  We do know that Sean is still missing, and that our search for Sean will continue for as long as it takes to find him.

HELP MAKE US FIND SEAN IN TIME  (THE SECOND MIRACLE) by SHARING Sean’s FLIER with everyone you know in the United States, and keeping an eye out for SEAN.  Due to his recent head injury, and risk of related complications (memory loss, etc.)  Sean could be far from San Francisco (if he was given a ride), and not know who or where he is.

For more information on our desperate search for Sean who vanished from San Francisco, CA on May 21, 2013 without a trace, see www.facebook.com/findseansidi orwww.seansidi.com.   Sean is 19 yrs old, 5’5” and 120 lbs. He is of Asian/Caucasian ethnicity, has dark brown wavy hair, WEARS SILVER DENTAL BRACES, has dimples, right eye droops slightly, has scar/bump on right forehead from brain surgery.  Sean could have been given a ride very far from San Francisco.  Please take Sean to the hospital and call his parents at 415.713.5913 if you see Sean.

PLEASE SHARE!

HELP SPREAD THE WORD – SEAN WILL BE ON “MISSING" WEEK OF OCT 21ST !!!!

Sean will be featured on the NATIONAL TV show ‘MISSING’ during the WEEK OF OCTOBER 21, 2013

In San Francisco, CA, ‘MISSING’ will be aired on MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2013 at 12:30pm on KTVU Channel 2.    In many other cities, ‘MISSING’ is aired that weekend (26th/27th). Please see www.usamissing.com for programming information in other cities and states.

As of October 17, 2013, 672 persons featured on “MISSING’ have been recovered.

Sean is out there somewhere.  Sean’s life may depend on someone spotting him, SOON. PLEASE spread the word to your friends and relatives (and their friends and relatives) who may live anywhere in the United States, to watch “MISSING" THE WEEK OF OCT 21ST. We are hoping that someone recognizes Sean and calls us:  415.713.5913.

To all of Sean’s friends in universities across the United States, please pass the word on to your college friends to keep an eye out for Sean. Sean could be ANYWHERE in the U.S., suffering from amnesia or other complications related to his recent brain injury. The sooner we find Sean and get medical help for him, the better his chances for a good recovery.

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES

Recently, friend Brenda Condon drove around San Diego, posting Sean’s missing person fliers.    Here is what Brenda wrote me,

“I took my 5-year old grandson [Mason] with me today to hang posters…It was really cute.    My grandson [Mason] was in his car seat staring at Sean’s poster.

He said,  Don’t worry Sean, we’re going to find you! ”

THANK YOU MASON – for your conviction and for helping us search for Sean!!!!!  Below is a picture of Mason after a long day of posting Sean’s fliers.

Due to a severe traumatic brain injury sustained prior to going missing, SEAN IS IN URGENT NEED OF MEDICAL CARE.  Amnesia, seizures and many other serious medical issues are not uncommon following a severe brain injury. Sean may be homeless, living on the streets, unable to ask for help.  Although Sean vanished from San Francisco, CA, it is possible that he may have traveled FAR from San Francisco if he was given a ride.

Sean is 5’5”, slim build and 120 lbs; has dark brown thick, wavy hair, of Asian/Caucasian ethnicity; WEARS SILVER DENTAL BRACES; has a surgical scar on right forehead from brain surgery.  Please help spread the word about the search for SEAN by sharing, liking and re-posting.

If you see Sean, please take him to the hospital and call 415.713.5913. You may also send a photo of Sean to this number.  Please help spread the word about our search for Sean across the United States, by sharing our post with everyone that you know.

REAL LIFE STORIES OF HOPE - HELP NEEDED IN CAMPAIGN OF HOPE

As many of you know, Sean, our 19 year old son, survived a horrific accident and a severe traumatic brain injury, ONLY to vanish from San Francisco, CA without a trace several months later on May 21, 2013. See www.facebook.com/findseansidi and www.seansidi.com for details.

While doctors have warned that Sean’s medical condition puts him a risk of death and we cannot imagine how Sean could still be alive given his precarious medical state, many of you have shared real life stories of HOPE.

Mahsa Hakim recently said, “On my week end trip to Maui, I heard an amazing story of a local homeless man who happened to gain his memory back with a help of a local church. He was originally from California and lost his memory in an accident and he was offered a one way ticket to Maui.  I did some search online and I also read a story of a lawyer from New York who lost his memory and ended up in Chicago. His picture was shown on America's Most Wanted and he was was found with a help of homeless shelter he was at.  Is there anyway to organize a nation-wide search of the homeless shelters or have his picture shown in National TV? Please let me know if I can be of any help.”

Sean may be in a homeless shelter anywhere in the United States. Commencing next week, we will send Sean’s flier to every homeless shelter, and soup kitchen in the United States. "I WANT MY MOTHER."

Several months before Sean went missing on May 21, 2013, he sustained a severe traumatic brain injury in an accident. In this accident, Sean completely shattered the right side of his skull and fractured so many bones in his body that it was hard to imagine that he could survive. It was touch and go for a week as Sean fought for his life. Thanks to the extraordinary skill of the neurosurgeons at San Francisco General Hospital, the impeccable and compassionate care by ICU nurses, and the incredible resilience of youth – Sean, by some miracle, SURVIVED.

I will never forget Sean’s first words, which he weakly whispered to the nurses upon emerging from his coma….

He said, “I WANT MY MOTHER.”

It is beyond comprehension that my beautiful son would survive such a horrific accident, only to be torn from my life several months later, when on May 21, 2013 - Sean vanished without a trace from San Francisco. Every night, I think of Sean, alone on the streets - wondering whether he is cold and hungry, wondering how long he can hang on, and whether he is asking for me...

Sean’s neurosurgeon says that as a missing person, Sean is at high risk of death due to his medical condition. We are trying desperately to find Sean, in time. We cannot possibly find Sean on our own. Only with everyone’s help do we stand a chance of locating Sean, in time, to bring him home safe and sound.

PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT OUR SEARCH FOR SEAN. YOU CAN HELP BY:

1. POSTING SEAN’S FLIERS (download or email lynnkching@yahoo.com for fliers) – IN and OUT of San Francisco. There are still SO MANY people who do not know that Sean is MISSING.

2. SHARING SEAN’S FACEBOOK POSTS, TWEETING etc.

3. MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOU CAN HELP BY KEEPING A LOOKOUT FOR SEAN, WHO MAY BE DISORIENTED, UNKEMPT AND WANDERING THE STREETS UNABLE TO ASK FOR HELP. Remember, Sean has dimples and silver dental braces. HE COULD BE IN SAN FRANCISCO OR NOT. WE JUST DO NOT KNOW.

Please keep Sean’s picture and my telephone number (415.713.5913) in your cell phone, and call me anytime if you think you have seen Sean.

Thank you all,
Lynn
Sean’s mom

A Note From The Family of Sean Sidi & Project Jason's 18 Wheel Angels

Dear All,

THANK YOU to those of you who attended the Joint Awareness Vigil on Saturday, September 14, 2013. We were moved to see so many friends and family in attendance.  The vigil was very helpful in raising public awareness of our search for SEAN, and generating new tips.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Sean has now been missing for 4 months!

Based on information to date, we feel that Sean is very likely homeless, wandering aimlessly and too ill to ask for help, or to know that he needs help.    Locating him will NOT be easy.   With your help, we are doing everything in our power to locate Sean.

IT IS ALL ABOUT GETTING THE WORD OUT !!!!!

Here are just a few of the things that are being done to help locate Sean:

1.            The ‘National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’ (“NCMEC”), in conjunction with its corporate poster partners has posted Sean’s fliers in the Western United States and Washington, D.C.

2.            “Project Jason”-  In 2003, Kelly Murphy established “Project Jason”, after her 19 year old son, Jason, vanished without a trace in June 2001, from Omaha, Nebraska.  See www.projectjason.org.  Project Jason, assists families of missing persons and has several very creative programs designed to raise public awareness of missing persons:

“18 Wheels Angel Program”

18 Wheel Angels is an all volunteer program in which truck drivers volunteer their time and resources to help locate missing loved ones.

During the month of September 2013, Sean will be featured in several Truckers magazines.  Truckers driving across the United States, will be downloading and posting SEAN’s ’18 Wheels Angel’ flier as they travel.  A copy of Sean’s 18 Wheel Angels Flier is featured in this post.    Thank you to Project Jason and all the 18 Wheel Angels posting Sean’s fliers!!

“Come Home Program”

Come Home is a unique national missing person’s locator program sponsored by Project Jason. Come Home posters are placed at homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and other locations where homeless persons gather.   In the near future, a “COME HOME” poster will be designed for SEAN by Project Jason.  Sean’s ‘COME HOME’ poster will be downloaded and posted by homeless shelters and soup kitchens across the nation, who have agreed to partner with PROJECT JASON to help locate missing persons.

Thank you Project Jason for all you have done!!!!

3.           MISSING” TV SHOWSean will be featured on the TV show, “Missing”, the week of October 21, 2013 on KTVU Channel 2 (San Francisco).  We will provide more specific information as to the exact time and date, as soon as possible.

4.            BillboardsLostNMissing, a non profit organization supporting families of missing persons, has negotiated for display of a billboard at Valencia Street (BETWEEN Duboce & Market St) in San Francisco, featuring Sean and the 4 other young men missing from San Francisco:  Chrishtian Hughes, Shawn Dickerson, Cameron Remmer and Jackson Miller.   The billboard is UP – COME AND SEE IT!   Thank you LostNMissing!!!

5.            Mass Mailing to Law EnforcementStarting with San Francisco, then expanding to every city in California and beyond, we will be mass mailing a letter and Sean’s flier to law enforcement across the United States.  Believe it or not, this has located some missing persons.

6.            Mass Mailing to Soup Kitchens and Homeless SheltersStarting with San Francisco, then expanding to every city in California and beyond, we will be mass mailing a letter and Project Jason’s “Come Home” flier to homeless shelters and soup kitchens across the United States.  This has worked for some.

7.          Posting Sean’s Fliers We will continue to post Sean’s fliers.    Tips continue to come in from the fliers posted by all of you.   If you need fliers to post, please email lynnkching@yahoo.com.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

-       If you have ideas or contacts that might help use raise public awareness of Sean’s plight, please contact us at 415.713.5913 or lynnkching@yahoo.com.

-       If you would like to help with our mass mailing efforts to law enforcement (or later, to soup kitchens and homeless shelters), please email us at lynnkching@yahoo.com, and she will send you fliers, envelopes and stamps along with a list of cities we are working on.

-      Continue posting Sean’s fliers, even posting 1 flier each day HELPS so much!!!!!

THANK YOU TO SO MANY OF YOU WHO CONTINUE TO WORK TIRELESSLY ON SEAN’S BEHALF!!!!

With Gratitude,

Lynn, Claude and Danielle
