Help find Sean Sidi

We need your help to find our son

Status of "SEAN SIDI" sightings

THANKS to ALL who continue help us SEARCH for Sean. Following recent (unconfirmed) sightings, MANY of you have taken time out of your day to HELP: You have walked into the Berkeley police station with Sean's fliers, posted & distributed fliers to food distribution places & workers near Telegraph/Bancroft, local homeless shelters, organizations which work with the homeless and to those in the area. So many help from AFAR, sharing Sean's FB posts and posting Sean's flier in your car window and wherever you may be.

We PRAY each day for THAT ONE CALL that SEAN IS ALIVE AND LOCATED!!!!!

Currently, a signifiant threat to us NOT finding Sean is the fact that California DOJ (DEPT OF JUSTICE) has yet to enter Sean's thumbprint (from CA DMV) into the national databases, despite having Sean's thumbprint since Nov 2013.

According to NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children), if Sean is picked up by police for erratic behavior or other offense, and is unable or unwilling to provide police with his REAL NAME, Sean could be jailed and lost in the jail system without us knowing...... One mom of a missing child told me it took CA DOJ TWO YEARS to enter her son's fingerprints into the national database.

It is an uphill battle for us and anyone with a missing loved one...2,000 NEW missing person cases in the U.S. EACH day.

SEAN SIDI FLIERS in POST OFFICES

The key to finding Sean is spreading the word about our search for Sean.

THANKS to Karen, mother of missing Bryce Laspisa (FindBryceLaspisa), we learned of an amazing organization called “3-CHILDREN FOCUS" (www.threechildrenfocus.org), which distributes binders containing the flyers of missing children to post offices. “3 CHILDREN” also posts flyers to community boards and windows in various cities.

THANKS TO TERRY PARKS OF “3-CHILDREN”, SEAN WILL BE INCLUDED IN “3-CHILDREN’S” NEXT road-trip binder distribution and individual flyer posting - scheduled next month (3/15-21) in S. CA from Oceanside north along hwy 1.  Although we have missed the February deadline for binder distribution along Hwy 101 north of San Francisco to Santa Rosa,  3 CHILDREN will also allow us to INSERT Sean's fliers in MISSING CHILDREN BINDERS AT POST OFFICES IN CORTE MADERA, LARKSPUR, KENTFIELD AND SAN ANSELMO. IF YOU LIVE NEAR THESE CITIES AND CAN PUT SEAN'S FLIERS IN THE BINDERS, CAN YOU PLEASE EMAIL lynnkching for fliers?

IF YOU ARE AT YOUR POST OFFICE, PLEASE ASK THE POSTMASTER IN YOUR CITY WHETHER THEY WILL ALLOW US TO POST SEAN'S MISSING PERSON FLIER.  SEAN HAS A "REGULAR" FLIER WHICH WE HAVE POSTED.  SEAN ALSO HAS AN OFFICIAL FLIER CREATED BY NCMEC (NATIONAL CENTER FOR MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN), IF THAT IS REQUIRED.  PLEASE EMAIL lynnkching@yahoo.com for fliers.

THANK YOU “3-CHILDREN FOCUS”!!

SEARCH FOR SEAN EXPANDED TO HAWAII

On recommendation of NCMEC,**we will be expanding the search for Sean to HAWAII and providing all law enforcement, hospitals, shelters, soup kitchens, and homeless outreach advocates in HAWAII with Sean’s flier and a letter from Dr. Manley stating that Sean is at risk of DEATH. For those of you in Hawaii who would like to assist in the HAWAII search please contact Lynn’s sister, Lianne, at liching@hawaii.rr.com.

Yesterday, Lynn, Sean’s mom met with ‘Project Alert’ (an arm of NCMEC whose members have law enforcement background), of the NATIONAL CENTER FOR MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN (“NCMEC”)**, to discuss Sean’s case.

One of the recommendations of NCMEC/Project Alert is that the search for Sean be expanded to Hawaii.  There are many stories of homeless people, including those who may have no inkling of who or where they are, being given one-way tickets by various cities to other locations (including Hawaii).  Since Sean has family in Hawaii and is possibly not cognizant of who or where he is, NCMEC recommends that we expand the search to Hawaii (while continuing our search in California and the rest of the U.S in FULL FORCE).  MORE UPDATES TO COME.

THANK YOU to NCMEC, and to Dave and Don, of Project Alert, for assisting in the search for Sean!!

** NCMEC works in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice to help law enforcement find missing children (0-21 yrs are eligible), receives federal funding, and is authorized under federal statute to assist with the recovery of missing children. NCMEC has recovered 180,000 children since it was established in 1984. IN SHORT, NCMEC IS A POWERFUL & VALUABLE RESOURCE IF YOU HAVE A MISSING CHILD.  For more information, see www.missingkids.com.
