Help find Sean Sidi

We need your help to find our son

The Last Time That We Saw Sean SIDI

On, May 21, 2013, the day that Sean vanished, he was not feeling well. He asked me, ‘Why do I feel so bad?’ I gave Sean a big hug before leaving the house to drop his sister Danielle at school. But somehow I knew that something was very wrong, and returned home to check on Sean, rather than continuing on to work. However, it was too late. Sean had already left the house when I arrived home. That was the last time that I saw Sean.

Almost 10 months have passed sinc...e Sean vanished from San Francisco, CA on May 21, 2013. While the trail has not gone completely cold, we have yet to receive 1 confirmed sighting of Sean. Our hearts ache so much for Sean. We try to maintain hope, but it is not easy as we know that Sean has not used his cell phone, bank card, email or FB account since he went missing. This is never a good sign. We are also acutely aware of Sean’s fragile physical and cognitive state – still in the early stages of recovering from a horrific accident that nearly killed him - just 6 months earlier.

We are doing our best to keep the search for Sean going, but this gets harder as time passes. We think that our ONLY hope of finding Sean, in time, is prayer, luck and the distribution and posting of Sean’s fliers – as far and wide - as possible.

We are thankful to those of you who are still posting Sean’s fliers & sharing our posts. Without you we would not be able to keep the search for Sean alive…We would be very grateful if you would share this post in hopes that someone will recognize Sean, and call us.

We have printed Sean’s fliers in BULK and would be happy to mail a packet of fliers to anyone, anywhere in the U.S., if you email lynnkching@yahoo.com with your address. You may also send a message on FB.

With Gratitude,

Lynn (& Claude) Sidi

MESSAGE FROM CAPTAIN McFADDEN OF SAN FRANCISCO POLICE RE: SEAN SIDI

Last week we asked Captain McFadden, Commander of the Special Victims / Missing Persons Unit to authorize a statewide BOLO (Be on the Lookout) for Sean SIDI. This had been recommended by various law enforcement agencies.

TODAY, Captain McFadden confirmed that SFPD has re-issued a statewide APB (All Points Bulletin) NetFlyer for Sean.

THANK YOU CAPTAIN McFADDEN AND SAN FRANCISCO POLICE FOR ALERTING LAW ENFORCEMENT THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA - OF THE SEARCH FOR SEAN SIDI!!!

In Hope,

The Sidi Family

SEAN SIDI FAMILY APPEALS TO SAN FRANCISCO POLICE TO ISSUE BOLO in CALIFORNIA

In an effort to locate Sean (SIDI) in time, we have asked San Francisco Police to issue a statewide BOLO (Be on The Lookout) in California, for Sean, age 19, missing from San Francisco CA since May 21, 2013. Below are excerpts of the email we sent to Captain McFadden TODAY. Captain McFadden replaced Captain Jason Fox - who previously handled Sean's case.

WE AWAIT SFPD'S RESPONSE...and will let you know.

Re: Request for... Statewide BOLO for Brain Injured Teen, Sean SIDI

Dear Captain McFadden,

I am the parent of (brain injured teen), Sean SIDI, who has been missing from San Francisco since May 21, 2013.... The purpose of this letter is to request that the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) issue a STATEWIDE ‘Be On the Look Out” (BOLO) for Sean (SIDI). Sean, who is considered “At Risk” by SFPD has now been missing for over 8 months. Per a letter provided SFPD by Dr. Geoff Manley, Sean’s neurosurgeon, Sean’s pre-existing medical condition puts him at high risk of death on the streets.

The issuance of a current statewide BOLO has been strongly recommended by various law enforcement persons in other jurisdictions who we have encountered in the search for Sean…..

During our last meeting with Captain Fox in September 2013, he mentioned that the search for Sean – just 4 months old at that time - was in its early stages, in the context of a missing person’s case. Captain Fox was right. Now - over eight months after Sean went missing – we have yet to find Sean or answers to Sean’s disappearance on May 21, 2013.

..........However, despite the efforts of so many, we believe that the assistance of law enforcement is CRUCIAL in the search for Sean (SIDI). To that end, we are requesting that SFPD issue a statewide BOLO for Sean SIDI.

We fervently hope that you will consider this request. We would be very grateful if you would let us know your decision.

Best Regards,
Lynn Ching and Claude SIDI

WHY ARE WE SEARCHING FOR SEAN SIDI?

It seems obvious to US why we are searching for Sean. However, a few (not many, but we felt we should address this) romantics (skeptics) have implied that Sean has left to start a new life, a life of independence.

TO THOSE WHO QUESTION WHY WE ARE SEARCHING FOR SEAN, ASK YOURSELVES WHETHER YOU WOULD SEARCH FOR YOUR CHILD, UNDER THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES:

1. Sean, age 19, has no need to 'run away'. He is legally an adult.

2. On May 21, 2013, the day that Sean vanished without a trace, Sean made an appointment with his teacher to return to school the next day to upload some films (i.e. Sean INTENDED TO RETURN THE NEXT DAY). Sean's teacher has confirmed this.

3. Sean's cell phone, bank card, email, facebook and all electronic means of communication have NOT been accessed since he vanished. For those who know Sean, this in and of itself is a BIG WORRY. Point and case, shortly after emerging from his coma after the accident, and barely able to walk, or open his eyes, Sean asked for his cell phone.

4. Sean's neurosurgeon has confirmed in writing to San Francisco Police that Sean's medical condition puts him at RISK OF DEATH (on the streets). Sean's doctors have also confirmed that Sean's severe traumatic brain injury puts him at risk of OTHER COMPLICATIONS (i.e. seizures, memory loss, etc).

To date there has been NO confirmed sighting of Sean (SAR finding or not). IF Sean is still alive, and based on information from doctors, we anticipate that Sean is not cognizant of his circumstance (i.e. TOO ILL to know that he needs help) and in need of medical care.

Upon finding Sean, and upon medical opinion that Sean is physically and mentally sound, we will (as we have for Sean's ENTIRE life) support Sean in his endeavors - whatever that may be.

UNTIL THEN, we will continue to search for Sean (SIDI).

In Hope,

Lynn and Claude Sidi

SEAN SIDI IS OUT THERE SOMEWHERE!!!

DUE TO SEAN'S BRAIN INJURY AND OTHER MEDICAL ISSUES, SEAN VERY LIKELY DOES NOT KNOW WHO OR WHERE HE IS. HE NEEDS US TO FIND HIM....

When Sean first went missing on May 21, 2013, Klaas Kids Foundation told us to cast the net for Sean, FAR AND WIDE. They told us of a case very similar to Sean's, of a 20 year old young man in California who had suffered a traumatic brain injury, lost his memory, and ended up in another STATE, with NO MONEY, within 3 days!!!!

This family was very lucky that a concerned citizen noticed that this young man needed help. Please HELP US SPREAD WORD ABOUT OUR SEARCH FOR SEAN by sharing, posting fliers, and helping us in our mass mailing campaigns to hospitals and homeless shelters across the nation. We can only locate Sean if EVERYONE knows that Sean is missing!

See www.facebook.com/findseansidi or www.seansidi.com for more information about the search for 19 year old Sean SIDI. Email lynnkching@yahoo.com for fliers and/or if you would like to help in the mass mailing campaign.

5 YOUNG MEN aka "California 5" ALL REMAIN MISSING FROM SAN FRANCISCO!! WHERE ARE THEY?!!

On September 14, 2013, Claude and I met the parents of 4 young men - ALL of whom have sons who went missing from San Francisco. On that date, the 5 families joined together in a vigil to bring attention to their sons' plight. To date, ALL 5 young men (including our son, Sean) STILL HAVE NOT BEEN FOUND...... Gina, Kim, Trisha and Valerie, and their sons Jackson Miller, Crishtian Hughes, Shawn Dickerson and Cameron Remmer are in our thoughts daily. There is not a day that goes by when we do not look for these boys, as we walk through the streets of San Francisco.

Please keep all of the boys in mind, as you travel within and out of San Francisco. Please call 911 if you see any of them or have information related to their disappearance.

Together In Hope,

Lynn & Claude
