We hope to gather a group and WALK Sean’s last route the day he vanished on May 21, 2013. We will START at FAIS/IHS at 150 Oak Street in San Francisco, the location Sean was LAST seen ALIVE. WE will WALK @ 20 blocks to Golden GATE Park (ping location of Sean’s last phone call) to the corner of John F. Kennedy and Stanyan Street & meet at grassy area in front of McLaren Lodge. There we hope to hear from YOU and special GUESTS K-9 Forensics SAR TEAM (& meet the canine members).

ACCORDING TO DOCTORS SEAN FACES A "HIGH RISK OF DEATH" AS A MISSING PERSON.  DUE TO HIS INJURY SEAN DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO KEEP HIMSELF SAFE.  EACH DAY ON THE STREETS IS A DEATH SENTENCE FOR SEAN (SIDI).  Please help us keep the search for Sean ALIVE.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR SEAN SIDI, PARTICULARLY AMONG THE HOMELESS!! He has suffered a recent brain injury and may be disoriented and not know his name and/or his prior life. He is 19 yrs. old (time of missing), Asian/White, 5'5" 120 lbs and slim build, dark brown hair & eyes, wears SILVER dental braces, has dimples, and scar on right forehead from brain surgery.

On, May 21, 2013, the day that Sean vanished, he was not feeling well. He asked me, ‘Why do I feel so bad?’ I gave Sean a big hug before leaving the house to drop his sister Danielle at school. But somehow I knew that something was very wrong, and returned home to check on Sean, rather than continuing on to work. However, it was too late. Sean had already left the house when I arrived home. That was the last time that I saw Sean.

Almost 10 months have passed sinc...e Sean vanished from San Francisco, CA on May 21, 2013. While the trail has not gone completely cold, we have yet to receive 1 confirmed sighting of Sean. Our hearts ache so much for Sean. We try to maintain hope, but it is not easy as we know that Sean has not used his cell phone, bank card, email or FB account since he went missing. This is never a good sign. We are also acutely aware of Sean’s fragile physical and cognitive state – still in the early stages of recovering from a horrific accident that nearly killed him - just 6 months earlier.

We are doing our best to keep the search for Sean going, but this gets harder as time passes. We think that our ONLY hope of finding Sean, in time, is prayer, luck and the distribution and posting of Sean’s fliers – as far and wide - as possible.

We are thankful to those of you who are still posting Sean’s fliers & sharing our posts. Without you we would not be able to keep the search for Sean alive…We would be very grateful if you would share this post in hopes that someone will recognize Sean, and call us.

The key to finding Sean is spreading the word about our search for Sean. 

THANKS to Karen, mother of missing Bryce Laspisa (FindBryceLaspisa), we learned of an amazing organization called “3-CHILDREN FOCUS" (www.threechildrenfocus.org), which distributes binders containing the flyers of missing children to post offices. “3 CHILDREN” also posts flyers to community boards and windows in various cities. 

THANKS TO TERRY PARKS OF “3-CHILDREN”, SEAN WILL BE INCLUDED IN “3-CHILDREN’S” NEXT road-trip binder distribution and individual flyer posting - scheduled next month (3/15-21) in S. CA from Oceanside north along hwy 1.  Although we have missed the February deadline for binder distribution along Hwy 101 north of San Francisco to Santa Rosa,  3 CHILDREN will also allow us to INSERT Sean's fliers in MISSING CHILDREN BINDERS AT POST OFFICES IN CORTE MADERA, LARKSPUR, KENTFIELD AND SAN ANSELMO. Someone just called in a “Sean sighting” of a very sick young man at the drum circle (SAT 2/1) at Venice beach, CA. We have called the Santa Monica Police dept. but need help in distributing and posting fliers at or near Venice Beach. 

If you know of anyone who is willing to post Sean’s missing person fliers, please contact lynnkching@yahoo.com and we will overnight fliers to you or arrange for you to pick up printed fliers near your location.

The person spoke to “Sean” (yesterday SAT 2/1) because “Sean” seemed VERY, VERY SICK. He was 99% sure that “Sean” wore dental braces. Below is a description of “Sean”, per the person calling in the tip. This person was not aware that Sean was missing, until he saw Sean’s missing person flier at a THRIFT STORE in Colver City, about 3 – 4 miles from Venice Beach. (THANK YOU TO THOSE POSTING ANYWHERE/EVERYWHERE!!) 

This is the description of “Sean” by the person calling in the tip:

- Saw “Sean” at DRUM CIRCLE at Venice Beach, CA (Saturday 2/1/14).
- “Sean” looked very, very ill – possibly running a fever;
- “Sean” had dental braces (99% sure);
- “Sean’s” eyes were not focusing;
- Wearing a RED jacket;
- HAIR WAS VERY SHORT (not long and wavy)
- Had piercing on front lip (Sean did not have piercing at time he went missing 8 months ago. However, anything could have happened.

Thanks to fliers being posted by all of you, tips continue to be called in. Two tips were called in over the last 3 days. 1 tip was called in from Novato and 1 from San Francisco.   In both cases, the caller thought the person they saw resembled Sean - but was not sure. (THANK YOU to those who called in the tips!!)

MANY PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME THEY KEEP A PICTURE OF SEAN'S FLIER AND STORE IT IN THEIR CELL PHONE FOR REFERENCE. 

We know that it is NOT easy to recognize Sean, and that some of you have gone to extreme lengths to help us find Sean. One person stopped his car in the middle of traffic, before the on- ramp (in SF) to the freeway, blocked traffic, and ran across several lanes of traffic, when he thought he saw "SEAN". Upon catching up with "SEAN" and taking a closer look, he realized that he was mistaken. By that time a police officer was running towards him. Fortunately, for him - when explaining why he had stopped his car in the middle of traffic - the POLICE recognized the name (Missing) Sean SIDI, and let him go with a stern warning! 

We do not have many post-injury photos of Sean, but have posted as many as we have. Below is a description of SEAN SIDI, missing from San Francisco, CA May 21, 2013: 

Sean is 19 yrs old, Asian/White 5'5", 120 lbs slim build;
dark brown eyes; dark brown WAVY hair (AFRO if untrimmed);
BUMP on right forehead from brain surgery;

SEARCHING FOR SEAN SIDI 8 MONTHS LATER 

It has been 8 months since Sean (age 19) vanished without a trace from San Francisco, CA. From day one, Sean’s severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) stacked the odds of survival AGAINST him. Doctors were clear about this. On the other hand, the prayers and help from so many of you continue to give us HOPE that we may find Sean in time. 

To that end – WE ARE AGAIN ASKING FOR YOUR HELP. 

OVERALL PLAN: We continue to follow ALL leads (they continue to come in). However, since we have NO confirmed leads placing Sean at a definite location, and given the possibility that Sean may be on the move (and the urgency of finding Sean ASAP) - the search for SEAN is being coordinated from 3 main areas. 

1. BAKERSFIELD, STOCKTON, SACRAMENTO, LOS ANGELES – ALONG HWY 5 

THIS IS THE AREA THAT WE NEED THE MOST HELP !!!!! 

IF YOU HAVE CONTACTS – (friends, church groups etc) IN THIS AREA – WE DESPERATELY NEED HELP WITH POSTING & DISTRIBUTING SEAN’S FLIERS TO HOMELESS SHELTERS, SOUP KITCHENS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOMS AND TO THOSE LIVING ON THE STREETS/ PARKS. 


2. SAN DIEGO AND SURROUNDING AREAS

Many living on the streets are moving SOUTH this time of year. 

The Southern Division of ‘NOR CAL Alliance for the Missing’ has started distribution of Sean’s fliers in San Diego and surrounding areas. However, this is a VAST AREA with MANY SHELTERS & LOTS of PEOPLE LIVING ON THE STREETS. 

MORE HELP IS DESPERATELY NEEDED TO POST AND DISTRIBUTE SEAN’S FLIERS TO HOMELESS SHELTERS, SOUP KITCHENS , LAW ENFORCEMENT AND HOSPITALS IN THE SAN DIEGO area.

3. NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

This is ground zero. Thanks to ALL OF YOU, fliers continue to be distributed throughout Northern California. 
YOU CAN CONTINUE TO HELP BY KEEPING AN EYE OUT FOR SEAN, AND BY CONTINUING TO REPOST AND DISTRIBUTE SEANS FLIERS THROUGHOUT SAN FRANCISCO, MARIN, THRU SANTA CRUZ AND THE ENTIRE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA.

Weighed down with the flu, and paralyzed with the fear of never finding Sean (Sidi), I found it difficult to do anything this week but despair....An email received tonight from Sandra M. has once again reminded me that Claude and I are not alone in our desperate and sometimes, lonely search to find Sean. Below is Sandra's letter of hope.

"Hello Lynn,

I spent some time Tuesday distributing fliers around Laurel Village, Masonic, Golden Gate Park and along Haight Street. I spoke to young street people, older people, and everyone in between. The overwhelming majority of people I encountered with Sean's story, I would venture 90%+, had heard about Sean and had seen your fliers. Remarkable! I felt very encouraged by this news, your efforts in getting the word out about Sean will payoff. I enlisted each of the people I met on our search. I asked them to look at Sean's sweet face and remember the braces, possible big hair, and the possibility of him traveling with an older man and asked them to call 911 if they think they see him and not to leave him. I will continue to check on our fliers to ensure they haven't been taken down and distribute to friends in Sonoma County and elsewhere in the Bay Area. 

Peets has distribute the flier to all of its SF stores, I'm trying to get the district Mgr to distribute further. I am waiting to hear back from Starbucks. Both coffee shops at Laurel Village have been given a flier and have posted in their employee break room. I've asked personnel at a few hospitals to post Sean's flier in their employee break rooms and ERs. I asked Target and Trader Joe's on Masonic to do the same (they have a lot of employees! maybe someone will recognize Sean). The 76 station on California/Arguelo has posted the flier. I posted Sean's flier in several bus shelters in SF. As I come across other high traffic intersections, I will continue to post. 

Thinking and praying for your entire family daily. You are not alone in your search. Keep your spirits up, we will find him, I'm certain of it.
