La Boulange, Starbucks & August 26, 2014 Update re: Search for Sean SIDI

Danielle (Sean’s sister) has started her junior year in high school. I pray the year will see her drawing strength & comfort from the knowledge that we & many others will NEVER stop searching for Sean. To see her brother on the edge of death, survive against tremendous odds, then to lose him again in this way --- is a trauma no child should have to endure... I have assured Danielle many times that her dad and I will search for Sean until the END of our days. Even past this time, I am comforted with the knowledge that NCMEC & other missing person’s organizations will keep the search for Sean going.

We have printed the FIRST BATCH of Sean’s NEW FLIER. We realize that many of you have been posting Sean’s fliers for many months… However, if anyone still has “posting” energy remaining TO post even 1 NEW flier, please email lynnkching@yahoo.com with your mailing address to have a few of Sean’s NEW fliers mailed to you (anywhere in U.S.). Alternatively, you may save the flier to your computer & print it. Despite the reach of social MEDIA, the posting of hard copy fliers remain CRITICAL in the search for Sean & any missing person.

LA BOULANGE, a French bakery recently acquired by Starbucks Coffee has offered to POST Sean’s NEW FLIER in their San Francisco locations. While Starbucks will not post the flier in their windows, they will post SEAN’S NEW FLIER on 22 community boards at various Starbucks cafes in the Bay Area, IF space is available. The date of posting has not been identified, however, I HOPE that supporters of the search for Sean will provide a photo of the flier, or post a flier on a Starbucks (or other) community board if one is not already up.

Below, picture of Allyssa Zimmerman sporting her SEARCH for SEAN T-shirt – which she wore to school in Manteca!!!! Thank you Allyssa for wearing the FLIER shirt & helping us spread the word about our search for Sean!! Also pictured is the 5’x 8’ banner at Valencia St. (btwn 20 & 21st St), which JUAN & ROSA MARIA SAN MAMES has so generously displayed on their STREET FRONT property for the PAST YEAR!! Thank you Juan & Rosa Maria San Mames Family for doing this!!!! ALSO featured ARE random pictures of Sean…the LOVE of our (Danielle, Claude & Lynn’s) LIFE. As you can tell from the pictures – Sean loves being on the water!

DETECTIVES ISSUE PRESS RELEASE RE: MISSING SEAN SIDI

The following press release was issued today.

                                   "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DETECTIVES SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING MISSING CASE OF SEAN SIDI

San Francisco Police Department, We Help the Missing, and the family of Sean Sidi is seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing person, Sean Sidi. Sean was 19 years old at the time of his disappearance and was last seen on May 21, 2013 in San Francisco, CA. Sean is approximately 5’5” tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds with brown eyes and hair. Sean has braces on his teeth and a scar on his right forehead. Sean suffered a traumatic brain injury that could affect his cognitive/mental health and is in serious need of medical attention. Sean was last seen wearing a black and gray NorthFace jacket with a hood and black Vans slip-on shoes. Sean’s last communication was located at the eastern end of Golden Gate Park. Sean speaks French fluently and his injury may cause him to revert to French only. Family members and Private Investigators feel Sean’s appearance will likely be altered or unkept, differing from the pictures. Investigators also feel Sean’s hair may appear different.

A statement from Private Investigator Jeff Kaplan: We are investigating both a criminal aspect of the case and looking at several persons of interest. We continue to investigate the aspect of a psychological break, knowing Sean may be a different persona every few days and may travel different paths based on that persona, wandering, hitchhiking, ride sharing, train hopping or holed up in homeless camps/shelter in San Francisco or any other location in the United States. We follow every lead, we request with any possible sightings that the person take a cell phone picture of the individual and submit with approximate location, description of the person and description of any persons they may be with, while we continue efforts to formulate additional leads and information.

We Help The Missing organization and law enforcement are asking for the media’s attention on Sean’s case as it is imperative to locate Sean to ensure his safe return. Please understand time is of the essence and we need your help to get this information in the eyes of the public.

A missing poster including information of Sean Sidi will accompany this release.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Sean Sidi is urged to call the San Francisco Police Department Investigator Morrow at (415) 553-1361, Private Investigator Jeff Kaplan at (925) 890-0695 or WE HELP THE MISSING-TIP LINE (866) 660-4025.

THANK YOU SAN FRANCISCO POLICE FOR RESPONDING TO SEAN SIDI SIGHTING SO QUICKLY!

THANK YOU SAN FRANCISCO POLICE - FOR RESPONDING SO QUICKLY TO A "SEAN SIDI" SIGHTING TONIGHT.

Tonight, a caring San Francisco citizen called San Francisco Police on their NON-EMERGENCY LINE: 415.553.0123. She informed police of the Sean sighting at California/Polk & reminded police that SEAN was 'CRITICALLY MISSING" with a brain injury (VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR POLICE IF YOU CALL IN A SIGHTING.)

The citizen called me & advised me that POLICE from the NORTHERN STATION in San Francisco responded immediately.

UNFORTUNATELY, IT WAS NOT SEAN.

NONETHELESS, we would like to thank San Francisco POLICE for responding so quickly, and the SAN FRANCISCO resident for calling police on a possible Sean sighting.

You ALL - by sharing the POSTS, and LOOKING for SEAN during your DAY, allow us to HOPE that Sean may be found one day - soon!!

STARTING THIS WEEK, WE WILL START DISTRIBUTING THE ATTACHED FLIER IN AN EFFORT TO GET PEOPLE TO SEND PICTURES of "Sean".

PLEASE EMAIL lynnkching@yahoo.com with your address IF YOU CAN HELP POST 5-10 of THE NEW FLIERS ON COMMUNITY BOARDS, OR OTHER LOCATIONS WHICH MAY STAND A CHANCE OF STAYING UP FOR AWHILE.

Sean SIDI UPDATE - August 14, 2014

UNCONFIRMED SEAN SIDI SIGHTING

Yesterday, Joseph, a long-time resident of San Francisco, advised me that at @ 3:40 pm, he saw someone resembling Sean in San Francisco at 9th and Brannan St. while driving. Joseph sent me a FB message shortly thereafter, but for some reason I did not see it. “Sean” was carrying a small external framed backpack, and wearing dark pants and a light colored T-shirt. Due to traffic restrictions, Joseph was unable to turn around to confirm the sighting with a photo. Moreover, given that there are VERY FEW OF SEAN’S fliers posted in San Francisco FOR ANY DURATION, it took time for him to locate my contact information.

Wherever you are, please keep an eye out for “Sean” and send a PHOTO of “Sean” to 415.713.5913 or lynnkching@yahoo.com, if there is a chance that someone may be OUR Sean.

Thank you to Joseph and to so many of you FOR CARING and for KEEPING AN EYE OUT FOR SEAN!!! I STRONGLY BELIEVE WITH ALL MY HEART THAT OUR BEST CHANCE OF FINDING SEAN RESTS WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC.    TIME AND TIME AGAIN, MISSING PERSONS HAVE BEEN located BY CARING CITIZENS.

The search for Sean CONTINUES. Today I spoke with Sean’s case manager at the ‘National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’ (NCMEC). NCMEC ‘s corporate partners, including WAL MART, are continuing to POST Sean’s NCMEC FLIER in the Western United States. See Sean’s NCMEC flier at:

www.missingkids.com/poster/NCMC/1218566/1#poster

IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS SEEN one of NCMEC’s fliers of Sean, CAN YOU please SEND ME A PHOTO & THE LOCATION?

We continue to HOPE,

Lynn, Claude and Danielle Sidi

Search for Sean SIDI - August 6, 2014

Last week, we and several hundred of SEAN'S Uncles, Aunts and Cousins from the Yan Quong Ching family - across the U.S. met in Hawaii for a family reunion (held every 2 years) spanning 5 days, and ending with a beach luau in Hauula!! So great to see everyone!! We would like to thank so many family members who have supported the SEARCH FOR SEAN over the last YEAR, and who came up to us during the reunion to offer words of support.

Currently, we are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best as HURRICANE Iselle and Julio head towards Hawaii. The hurricanes will hopefully weaken to a survivable level….We are currently stocking food, filling containers with water & enjoying the LAST sunny day before the winds and rain HIT the island.

We tried to fly out today to avoid the hurricane but could not secure a flight. Therefore, we join the masses in riding on the hurricane (hopefully not) or tropical storm (preferable to hurricane, but still scary)….. Thank you to JAN & FRED for housesitting!

Regardless of how long we are hurricane bound, we HOPE that wherever you are - you will continue to search for SEAN. keep an eye out for him, and SHARE the posts. Recently, we received several comments regarding a GG park worker who believed she saw "Sean" near GG Park several months ago. This is unconfirmed. However, we will reinvigorate the search in this area in HOPES of reaching mobile street youth who many encounter Sean. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT SEAN'S BRAIN INJURY stacks the ODDS of survival against him as per his neurosurgeon. HE is NOT "VOLUNTARILY" MISSING. NOR IS HE AWARE OF HIS MEDICAL NEEDS. PLEASE TAKE A PICTURE AND SEND TO 415.713.5913 if there is even a 1% chance it is Sean.    Sean is 20 yrs old, 5'5", 120 lbs., Asian/White, wears silver dental braces, dk brown eyes & dk brown wavy hair, scar on right forehead from brain injury.
